Each month, the Eastern Shore Community Services Board highlights an outstanding team member whose dedication and passion make a lasting difference in our community. This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on someone whose enthusiasm, humor, and compassion light up our team.
🌟 Meet Charlie Evans – Substance Abuse Clinician 🌟
Charlie joined ESCSB in 2015 as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Case Manager and was promoted to Substance Abuse Clinician in 2019. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University and his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
Throughout his time at ESCSB, Charlie has taken on many roles—Peer Recovery Specialist, supervisor of the Peers, Case Manager for DJJ, CSAC credentialed clinician, and our in-house expert on all things VASAP. He’s now working toward his Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
Charlie’s colleagues describe him as energetic, supportive, and a joy to work with:
“Charlie is an asset to the outpatient team in so many ways: his energy and enthusiasm to do his job is contagious, willing to take on new tasks, new clinical presentations, all with a smile. His laugh is infectious, and he is a joy to work with. Charlie is a team player and always willing help out whoever needs a hand. Most importantly, our clients have benefitted from his vast knowledge, and we look forward to all that he will continue to do to serve our community.”
