Bio

Lisa “MiMi” Sedjat, LCSW, is the Executive Director for the Eastern Shore Community Services Board on Virginia’s Eastern Shore and has served in a multitude of key roles as a business administrator, clinical manager, and devoted caregiver in the human services industry. She built and operated her own behavioral healthcare business, “Behavioral Interventions, Trainings, and Evaluations, Inc”, and facilitated an array of indispensable services to individuals and families in need of life management guidance, mental health mediation, crisis counseling, and developmental disabilities assistance. She has also functioned in dual capacity as a liaison to educational institutions and as a consultant for a broad spectrum of behavioral healthcare entities and independent providers in both the public and private sector. Ms. Sedjat holds a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia and incorporates a platform of positive thinking and committed work ethic as a beacon of hope to encourage others to strive for a healthy lifestyle.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for Eastern Shore Community Services Board is comprised of nine members. These members are appointed by the Northampton County Supervisors and the Accomack County Supervisors.

There are six (6) board members appointed from Accomack County and three (3) board members appointed from Northampton County.

Terms are staggered to ensure a smooth transition as new board members join and those with expiring terms depart. Each term is three years and board members are allowed to serve up to three 3-year terms.

The board meets regularly on the second Tuesday of the month at 9:00 a.m.

The Eastern Shore Community Service Board’s (ESCSB) treatment team is comprised of caring, well qualified staff dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals served by our mental health, substance abuse, and developmental programs.

Translators are available to assist in the provision of services to non-English speaking individuals.

These direct care providers are supported by supervisors, managers, and other administrative staff working to fulfill the same mission: providing effective prevention and behavioral health services for individuals and families in order to improve their quality of life and health.
